Summary:
The Tax Manager provides high quality service to a sophisticated client base while coaching, advising, supporting, and collaborating with talented team members. With opportunities for advancement and development of functional specialization and industry expertise, the Tax Manager serves as a strategic team member - planning, organizing, and controlling multiple responsibilities and resources to achieve assignment and firm objectives.

Responsibilities:
Prepare complex federal individual and business returns
Supervise staff assigned to his or her projects to ensure that schedules, budgets and quality requirements are met
Review complex tax returns and associated work papers
Maintain knowledge and understanding of current and emerging tax law to identify value-added opportunities for clients
Maintain current knowledge of professional and ethical standards
Analyze problems, design and implement tax strategies that accomplish client goals
Manage agreed upon clients and workload
Ensure workpaper and client deliverables are accurate, high quality and comply with firm quality control
Nurture long term relationships with clients develop partnerships with clients to identify issues and trends and identify innovative solutions and ideas
Maintain client satisfaction of assigned tax clients
Participate in office-wide initiatives recruitment, marketing, etc., as requested.
Actively pursue self-development and community service opportunities
Develop and grow professional network and client base
Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee tax work of 3-4 junior staff members.

Travel Responsibilities:
Occasional travel to client engagements and marketing activities.


Position Requirements:
CPA designation
6+ years of public accounting experience
Masters of Taxation degree preferred
Strong management skills with the ability to coach and motivate team members
Collaborative attitude with desire to grow client base
Excellent problem-solving skills, business acumen, and technical expertise
Initiative and motivation for practice growth and development
Proven leadership skills with desire for firm partnership
