Munich Re Specialty Insurance, which also includes a start-up Excess & Surplus (E&S) unit, will create a lean and agile commercial insurance operation that is simple, customer-focused and digitally-enabled to address the complex needs of our customers and help them adapt to a changing market.. As a key member of the senior leadership team, this position is responsible for directing strategies to develop profitable business, driving plans to achieve Munich Re Specialty Insurance Company's (MRSI) sales targets, while creating a culture of success. The successful candidate will provide strategic vision, leadership and guidance to promote goal achievement. You will also manage Client and Broker Relationship Management team and collaborate with production underwriters, company operations and resources to deliver profitable growth.. As the Head of Client and Broker Relationship Management for MRSI, you will:. Achieve growth and profitability targets for MRSI.. Spearhead the development and execution of the company sales strategy.. Identifying business opportunities and fostering relationships with Clients and Brokers.. Develop Management information, metrics, analytics and predictive analytics that help make MRSI a partner of choice for the MRSI distribution partners.. Motivates and leads a high performing team, including accountability for performance management and development.. Maintain regulatory oversight (including internal controls) over licensing and appointment process... Demonstrate exceptional market expertise which will include understanding broker capabilities and the competitor landscape.. Lead, develop, and drive profitability with the MRSI team by being an influential key leadership team member.. Partner with Marketing Division on regionally focused events, campaigns, promotions, incentives and key account marketing tactics.. Building internal networks to facilitate information sharing and support enterprise client and broker initiatives.. Maintains relationships with clients and brokers by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.. Enable and champion innovative problem solving and nontraditional approaches to program design and reviewing all aspects of a broker or client's operation and provide insight for profitability and growth.. Qualifications. Successful candidates will possess the following skills/capabilities:. Bachelor's degree. Strong underwriting, marketing and analytical skills that have been proven over 10+ years of insurance/reinsurance and client management experience. 5+ years of management experience. Property and Casualty insurance lines experience. Exceptional communication skills that energize and engage clients and colleagues, with the ability to convey a vision and client-focused solutions. Excellent negotiation and consultative skills which can be deployed at any level of an organization, including creativity, emotional intelligence, adaptability and problem-solving skills. Tech savviness and a willingness to experiment with and learn new technologies. Ability to think strategically and function tactically. Effective project management skills related to execution overall and evaluation of new insurance programs and their in-force management
