Website: Investment Education Operations Director Overview:. We are looking for an Investment Education Operations Director to supervise work scheduling, workflow, and distribute customized retirement education curriculums to Investment Educators working in the field. The Investment Education Operations Director will be responsible for developing custom educational programs for all clients and be a continuing resource for educators.. Investment Education Operations Director Responsibilities:. Strategically coordinate educator visits with client companys management/HR teams to maximize workflow and time savings. Develop, modify and distribute all vendor issued and original marketing and education resources to financial educators. Designs and edits retirement education presentations to match each companys needs through PowerPoint and similar technology tools. Manage and oversee operation expenses, travel planning, etc. to pursue time-saving and cost-saving measures. Activity reporting, etc. as needed to provide management with progress and suggestions on improvements. Conduct both offsite in-person client office visits and virtual presentations to company management/HR teams as needed. Schedules and conducts initial enrollment meetings (large and small groups) aimed at educating plan sponsors and potential plan participants, focusing on the value of participating in their retirement plan as needed. Effectively lead and supervise educator staff, ensuring optimal performance. Conduct regular meetings with educators to inform and train, discussing areas needing improvement and make changes in procedure as appropriate. Establish and maintain effective, professional business relations with NEXT employees, partnering client organizations and community networks. Collaborate with internal teams (financial planners, senior management, etc.) to address customers needs. May perform other duties as assigned. Investment Education Operations Director Requirements:. License/Certification:. FINRA series 6, 63, 65 (or 7/66) required. Designations such as AIF and other Retirement Plan designations are a plus. Must obtain the required Federal and/or state licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit. If an associate fails or is unable to obtain required licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit, the associate will be ineligible to continue in the position.. Knowledge and Experience:. Previous management experience required, previously oversaw a direct team or staff. Must have in-depth understanding of the retirement plan business and working knowledge of ERISA, recordkeeping and plan investments. Must have previous experience in the financial industry, specifically educating clients on retirement plans / 401k benefit options. 5+ years' relevant operations experience in an Education Coordinator/Manager, Retirement Investment Educator, 401(k) Benefits Educator, Wellness Program Manager or similar role prior. Must have experience in retirement investment education training large groups and one-on-one (strong presentation and PowerPoint skills). Skills/Competencies:. Excellent presentation/verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in using technology to present content/meetings. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel) with working knowledge of project management tools and CRM platforms a plus (e.g. Salesforce). A customer-oriented attitude and problem-solving aptitude. Ability to work well with a team and independently. BS/BA required; degree in Finance or a related field preferred. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Travel:. Will be required to work in-office at one of our primary locations. May require up to 50% of time traveling across the U.S. as needed.
